BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The last few years in the workplace have been tumultuous, to say the least. A global pandemic, the rising and falling of the economy, war, and supply and logistics issues to name a few - all in addition to a great reshuffling of talent within and across organizations across the US. Employee retention and engagement is always a key concern of HR leadership, but it has come to the forefront more and more, especially in industries like manufacturing and food service. How can HR leaders build a strategy around driving employee retention?

Understanding the employee experience and workforce needs is paramount to identifying the turnover shutoff valves and engagement triggers in your organization. Not understanding this puts your business at risk. Every organization is unique and, of course, employees want compensation and benefits, but more than that, they want to feel valued by their organization. Implementing programs and strategies to understand your employees is the road to culture shaping and driving employee engagement and retention.

In this presentation we will discuss how to measure your employee experience and culture using theory and evidence-based science, how to identify pain points impacting important outcomes like turnover and engagement, and best practices on what to do once you have listened.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Understand the science and psychology behind employee behavior
  2. Identify turnover and engagement pain points from the employee experience in your organization
  3. Recognize best practices in implementing effective action plans and change management based on effective employee feedback program
